The Will of Charles Lovelock late of Mere in the County of
Wilts Weaver deceased.
In the Name of God Amen I Charles Lovelock
of
the Parish of Mere in the County of Wilts Weaver being of sound Mind
Memory and Understanding (praised be God) do make my last Will and
Testament as follows vizt Imprimis I give and bequeath unto my son William
Lovelock all that House and Backside late Sandels with its Appertenances
thereto belonging after the Widowhood of my Wife Also I give and bequeath to
my loveing Wife One Guinea & the House I now live in for her Widowhood and
after thats past I give the same with the Appertenances to my son William
Lovelock and my daughter Elizabeth the Wife of James Ings equally to
be divided betwixt them. Also I give and bequeath to my daughter Elizabeth
Ings one Boiler one table one Bedstead and one Bellmetal Pot and one pewter
Platter and the Bed and Bedstead I now ly on,I give to my loveing Wife Jane
Lovelock Also I give and bequeath unto my Grand Daughter Ann Lovelock
Daughter of John Lovelock one Guinea. Also I do hereby make constitute
and appoint my Son William Lovelock and my loveing Wife Jane Lovelock
to be my joint Executor and Executrix of this my last Will and Testament to
whome I give all and singular the rest of my Effects whatsoever or wheresoever
moneys Chattles to me appertaining in whose hands soever it be and I do
hereby revoke and make void all other Wills Testaments and Bequeaths by
me heretofore in any wise made declaring this and no other to be my last Will
and Testament In Witness whereof I have set my Hand and Seal this
ninth Day of January in the Year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred
and ninety eight

1798 before the Revd Launcelot Greenthwaite Halton Clk
A.M. lawful Surrogate of the Revd & Worshipful Henry
Hetley Clerk B.D. lawful Official of the Revd and Worshipful
John Ekins D.D. Dean of the Cathedral Church of Sarum and
by him Adcon of the Goods & Chattles of the deced & soforth was
granted to Jane Lovelock & Wm Lovelock the joint Exors within named
being first duly sworn of the truth of the sd Will to perform the same
pay the Debts & Legacies of the deced &c And to make a true Invry &
render a just Acct when reqd Saving the Rights of all Persons.
