This is the last Will and Testament of me –
Gabriel Lovelock the Elder of Cold Ash in the parish of Thatcham
in the County of Berks yeoman made this Twenty first day of March
in the year of our Lord One Thousand eight hundred and
fourteen as follows that is to say I give devise and
bequeath
unto my wife Elizabeth Lovelock for and during the Term of her
natural Life one Annuity or clear yearly sum of twenty pounds
of lawful money current in Great Britain
to be payable and paid to her by four equal Quarterly payments
in the year the first quarterly Payment to be made at the
expiration
of three calendar months next after my decease Item I give
and bequeath to my son Gabriel Lovelock the sum of Five
hundred Pounds of like lawful Money to be paid to him within
Twelve Calendar Months next after my decease but provided
that in case my said son Gabriel shall be in any business and
have occasion for the said sum of Five hundred Pounds before the
expiration of Twelve Months after my decease as aforesaid then I
direct
the same to be paid to him at any time he shall require the
same after the expiration of Three Months from the time of my
decease
Item I give and bequeath unto my Daughter Mary the Wife of
Henry Orchard the sum of Four hundred Pounds of like lawful
Money to be paid to her within Six Calendar Months next after
my decease Item I give and bequeath unto my Daughter
Hannah Lovelock the sum of Four hundred Pounds of
like lawful Money to be paid to her within Six Months next
after my decease Item All that my Messuage Tenement and Farm
with the Lands Grounds and Hereditaments thereto belonging situate
and being at Cold Ash aforesaid and now in my own occupation
and All other my Messuages or Tenements Lands and Hereditaments
whatsoever and wheresoever And also all my Farming Stock
implements in husbandry household Furniture Goods Chattels
live and dead stock ready Money Money out at Interest and
Securities for Money And all other my real and personal
Estate whatsoever and wheresoever and of what nature kind

or quality so ever the same may be or consist of I give devise and
bequeath unto my son William Lovelock his Heirs Executors
Administrators and Assigns absolutely for ever according to
the
nature and quality thereof respectively But subject nevertheless
to and charged and chargeable with the payment of the said
annuity of Twenty Pounds to my said wife during her life and of
the
said the Legacies of Five hundred Pounds, Four hundred Pounds and
Four hundred Pounds and also subject to the Payment of All my
just Debts funeral and Testamentary charges and expenses And
I do hereby nominate constitute and appoint my said son William
sole Executor of this my last Will and Testament And I do hereby
revoke and make void all former and other Wills by me at any
time heretofore made and do declare this to be my last Will
and Testament In Witness whereof I the said Gabriel Lovelock
the Testator have to this my last Will and Testament contained
in two sheets of paper set my hand and seal to wit my hand
to the preceeding sheet and my hand and seal to this sheet
the day and year mentioned at the begining of the
preceeding sheet

William Lovelock the sole Executor therein named to

Admon was granted being first sworn duly to

The within is the Codicil referred to by my Indorsement
on the
back of the Will of Gabriel Lovelock

Whereas I Gabriel Lovelock the elder of Cold Ash in the parish of
Thatcham in
the County of Berks Yeoman Did in and by my last Will and Testament
bearing date on or about the
Twenty first day of March One Thousand eight
hundred
and fourteen Give devise and bequeath unto my
wife Elizabeth Lovelock for her life
an annuity or yearly sum of Twenty Pounds and
did give and bequeath the
following Legacies that is to say Five hundred
pounds unto my Son Gabriel
Lovelock , Four hundred pounds
unto my Daughter Mary
the wife of Henry
Orchard and Four hundred
pounds unto my Daughter Hannah Lovelock and
whereas my property since the date and
execution of my said Will having
decreased
in value I do by this Codicil to my said Will
and which I direct to be
taken as part thereof revoke and make void the
said annuity and also
the said several Legacies and in lieu thereof
respectively I Do hereby
give
devise and bequeath unto my wife an
annuity or yearly sum
of Fifteen Pounds and Do also Give and
bequeath unto my said
Son the sum of Four hundred pounds, to my said
Daughter Mary
Orchard the sum
of Three hundred pounds and unto my said
Daughter
Hannah Lovelock the
sum of Three
hundred pounds
and I do
direct the
same
to be charged
and chargeable
paid and
payable in the
same manner as
in my
said Will
directed as to
the said
annuity and
Legacies
hereby revoked
and made void

hereby and in
all other
respects
ratify and
confirm
