The Will of
John Lovelock of Aldbourne
In the Name of God Amen I John Lovelock of the
parish of
Alborne in the County of Wilts being sick and weak in body but
of perfect
mind & memory do make this my last will and testament in
manner
following ffirst I comend my spirit into the hands of my creator
hopping
assuredly in & through the meritts of Jesus Christ my
Redeemer to be
made partaker of the everlasting joyes of heaven & I comitt
my body to
the earth from whence it came to be buried in the parish
churchyard of
Alborne aforesaidItem I do give to my brother in law John Wilson
one
shilling & to Joane his wife nine shillings to Presillah
Neale daughter
of Simon Neale ffive shillings to Simon Neale sonne of the said
Simon
ffive shillings Item I do give to Richard Browne one shilling to
Presillah
his wife nine shillings Item I do give to my sister Mather
Lovelock
ffive pounds three pewter platters one Tubb one Iron pott one
kettle one
Brass frying pan three chairs three barrells one River &a
little River one
bed and bedstead which she now lyeth on Item I do give unto the
aforesaid
Simon Neale the older one shilling And my further will is that
all the
aforesaid Legacies so by me herein given be paid and delivered
to them
within one yeare next after my decease All the rest and residue
of my
goods and chattells whatsoever not hereby given my debts being
first paid
and funerall expenses discharged I do give and bequeath the same
unto
my brother Thomas Lovelock whom I do hereby make and ordeyne
the sole executor of this my last will and testament In Witnesse
whereof I have hereunto sett my hand and seal the two and
twentieth
day of March Anno Dmi 1700
