The Will of
John Lovelock
of Moore Down in the parish of Buttermoore in the County of Wilts
In the Name of God Amen I
John Lovelock of Moore Down in the parish
of Buttermoore in the County of Wilts Yeaoman do make
constitute ordaine and
declare this to be my
last Will and Testament in manner and form following
Revoking and annulling by these presents all and every Testament
Will and Wills
heretofore by me made and declared and this to be taken only for
my last Will and
Testament and none other that is to say first and principally I
committ my soul into
the hands of Almighty God that gave it to me
hoping by the merrits of Jesus Christ
my Blessed Redeemer to have pardon for all my sins and my Body I
committ to the
Earth from whence it was taken to be buried in a decent manner
Imprimis
I give bequeath and devise to my Beloved Mother the Sum of four
pounds a year
to be payd by my Executor during her naturall life Item I give
bequeath and
devise to my Beloved Mother and Sister Elizabeth Lovelock the
use of my dwelling
house and Garden to possess and enjoy to their own proper use
during their natural
lives Item I do give them the use of such household goods as my
mother or sister
Elizabeth Lovelock shall think fitt or make choice of for their
use and ..... (?)
without any let mollestation or hindrance by my Executor Item I
give to Anthony
Helliar son of Robert Helliar the sum of ten pounds to be payd
by my Executor at
the end of three years next after my decease Item I give to my
Sister Mary Helliar
the sum of fifteen pounds to be payd by my
Executor at the end of four year next
after my decease Item I give to my Brother William Lovelock
five pounds to
be payd by my Executor at the end of one year Item I give to
my Richard Lovelock
Brother Richard Lovelock five pounds to be payd by my Executor at the end of one
year Item I give to my Sister Elizabeth Lovelock
four pounds
to be payd by
my
Executor at the end of one year Lastly I do
constitute ordaine and make my
Brother Edward Lovelock full and sole Executor and
do give him all my Lands
Tennements Heriditaments moneys goods and Chattles
which are not otherwise
herein otherwise otherwise by me devised and given
he paying my debts and Legacys
herein appointed by him to pay In Wittness whereof I have
herein so set my hand
and seal this seventeenth day of may one thousand seven
hundred and thirty one
