a. Where I have quoted full and actual dates these are taken from my readings of the PRs. I have only used Transcripts to confirm my reading of difficult handwriting.
b. Where I make references to eg " Mar 1/4 of 1889" this is data from an Index entry in the GRO Registers, and , obviously, not confirmed by my tracing of the corresponding PR entry.
c. Reference to eg "b. Abt 1880" means that the date of birth is deduced from a Census Return, and is therefore potentially subject to some variance. Where Census data is more specific, eg an age of 9 months being quoted for an infant, I have worked back to quote the month of birth. These are also not confirmed by my tracing of the corresponding PR entry.
